Mario Maurer is Cinemanila’s SEA Best Actor

Thai teen heartthrob and “Love of Siam” star Mario Maurer was recently declared Best Actor in Cinemanila 2008′s South East Asia (SEA) Film Competition. The Love of Siam (Thai: Rak haeng Sayam) is a 2007 Thai romantic-drama film, written and directed by Chookiat Sakveerakul. A multi-layered family drama, a controversial element of the story is a gay romance between two teenage boys. Mario Maurer leads the cast as a teenage boy entangled in family, romantic, and social issues.
